Welcome to Power in the Light, where Christ Jesus is ministering to us and the issues which we face in life. For in Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a] it. John 1:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV). God bless you!

BEING DESPISED AND REJECTED?
In this day and age many people have suffered and faced all manners of trials and opposition as a result of being what they are or the stand which they have taken in life. At times our society is so harsh and intolerable to various issues of concern, be it our social status; physical; racial; religious; creed you name it. Through all these many have suffered great criticisms, rejection to the extent of being look down upon.
The bible speaks of many notable persons who had been down the “junction of despise and rejection” in their lives. It’s not that they had chosen to go that way but circumstances had driven them down that lane.
One such a person was this notable young man who underwent such a gruesome time in his life. Looking at his childhood life, which was so appalling full of depression; pain; name calling, presumably you my reader are familiar of. What a distracted young fellow he was. Full of fear and probably depression led him to be angry as to why he was born in this “cruel and wicked world”. Why my mom didn’t just abort me? Was a question which hanged in his mind many times..
Having been born of a prostitute, not by choice, he endured all manners of insults, name calling, and rejection. He was much despised and many looked down on him. No one considered him as worthy. Though he was the first born, a legitimate and sole heir to his family’s inheritance, he was driven away from his rightful home by his own family whom he much loved.
Isaiah 53:3-9 (New International Version © 2010)3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; he punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.[b] 9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
Seeing that he could not endure this any more he fled far away from his brothers, his people and his society. He went where no one knew about him; where he could start all over again and at least become something, somebody respectable.
We also have found ourselves in this Youngman’s shoes. Many might have looked down on you because of the family line you come from; your past which is still haunting you; your inability; your status etc….…………………...
This should not deter you, for you don’t know what JESUS CHRIST has in the making for you. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Our LORD JESUS CHRIST will cause those who have despised and rejected you to come looking for you! They will come to you and ask you to take back what was rightly yours. That which was forcefully taken away from you will be given back in full measure pressed down, shaken together and running over…………..in JESUS NAME!
"Come," they said, "be our commander”,…………..they will make you to be the “head and not the tail”, this is our heritage! Though they had driven the Youngman away, now they were coming for him! I can picture a great contingency of very respectable persons from his society coming to beseech him to go back with them!
The elders of Gilead replied, "The LORD is our witness; we will certainly do as you say." So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and commander over them. And he repeated all his words before the LORD in Mizpah.
Hallelujah!

WHEN ALL SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE!
Our God is not like man that He may promise and not do, despite the mountains or the valleys which we may face or encounter in our lives, He still remains the same hope of our salvation! The woman who was subjected to bleeding for 12 yrs, had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about JESUS, she came up behind HIM in the crowd and touched HIS cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch HIS clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
Two things are demonstrated by this woman
1. She had the “mountain moving” faith: "If I just touch HIS clothes......
This is greatly demonstrated by the kind of faith the woman had in our Lord Jesus Christ. She precisely new that, her healing entailed the faith and will to touch the robe of our Lord Jesus! For Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
2. She had self- assurance: I will be healed.".......
She knew that she will never be the same again once she touched the robe! And also that nothing was going to deter her from receiving the healing which she had been waiting for all those 12 years!! This woman looked beyond the “blockade” which was presented by the multitude which was with JESUS CHRIST and focused on her healing. She rose to the occasion to receive her ultimate restoration, which the great physicians of the day could not deliver.
Laws of the day:
Under the Mosaic Law, “When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be UNCLEAN as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period. Whoever touches them will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening”.
Uncleanliness:
You can picture the situation this woman was in. Presumably her immediate family and even her beloved husband, who promised “till death set us apart”, did not want to be associated with her in any way. Her family and friends were afraid to be regarded as UNCLEAN alongside her. I can visualize how lonely and distance the woman was. Wherever she went, people who knew of her predicament used to run away from her.
Socializing:
The woman was not allowed to socialize with anyone under the customs of the day! You can imagine how difficult this life was for her. In frantic efforts to see her health restored, she was compelled to use up all her wealth and resources which she had acquired, going from one physician to the other but all was in vain.
Life was agonizing and miserably:
This life was so agonizing and really miserable for this woman. Most likely she was contemplating on taking her life. Everything in her life had lost meaning and never mattered anymore! Her husband and children were nowhere to stand with her during this difficult moment in life, when she needed them most. Neither were her friends, or brothers and sisters to hold her and pray with her. She was all alone! Walking down the death lane, I vividly see her lamenting over her sickness day and night, calling out “My Lord... My Lord.... where are you?” she would ask many times again and again.......
Healing time: she never wanted to miss on the opportunity!
When the time of her healing came, she never wanted to miss that very lifetime opportunity. Most probably then, voices were running in her mind, trying to dissuade her with this familiar notion…..“What if people know of my predicaments? What if I don’t get healed? What if……?”What if………….? And so on and on…….the questions kept on lingering in her head.
The woman stood out against all obstacles! She was not bothered about what the people might say or do, neither was she bothered about the laws which hindered and deprived her of the imminent healing. The most concern at that time was GETTING HEALED!
Our lives are full of same kinds of situations. Some are even more heartbreaking than what the woman had. I might not have a clue or have any experience nor idea of it…....however the one and only Lord JESUS CHRIST knows even the deepest depth of our situation(s) we're entangled in......HE says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”........JESUS CHRIST can heal all manners of sicknesses and diseases.
Call on JESUS CHRIST now for your miracle is already at hand! ......Be it healing from all manners of sickness, financial healing, curses, name it! I proclaim healing and restoration in your life! HE is HEALING you believe and receive it........
BE HEALED AND RESTORED in the name of JESUS CHRIST......... AMEN!!!

DON'T CRY
These challenges in life may seem to be too much to bear and burdensome. Fuelled by difficult situations is overcoming your zeal for God when you look at what is going on around your life; and or in that ministry. You even are contemplating to quit the call.
Friends and buddies seem to be far beyond your reach, your loved ones also may not have a clue at what you’re going through. You feel rejected, despised and that there’s no one to share with in what you’re going through.
This is what the widow of Nain was experiencing, a mother of one and only dearest son, the one that she was depending on. The son who was her only last hope of living after losing her husband, alas! Now he has passed away gone on a journey, away from the living and never to return again. His lifeless body laid in the casket as it is being carried for burial.
The somber mood filled the air, neighbors and close friends wailing and crying as the dead person is being carried away, a large crowd from the town was with her. This young man who was loved by many is now no more; he might have been engaged to one of the maids in Nain.
As the people wailed and cried with the widow, you can definitely see what is going through her mind at this time. She is asking the very familiar questions at our Lord JESUS CHRIST, when all was collapsing and shuttering before her eyes as the events unfold. Now it is adorning to her that she will never see her beloved son again..........“Why, why, why. Why did this have to happen me, why is it my son” sobbing uncontrollably “my only baby, did I do anything wrong to deserve this”, life is so unfair! She sobs, weeping and muttered at herself, “I even don’t see any reason to live anymore, please Lord take me too........” before she could complete that sentence, JESUS CHRIST saw her, and HIS heart went out to her and HE said, "DON’T CRY"……............
He knows your every thought. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I WILL LISTEN TO YOU. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
He sees those tears that fall and He hears when you call. Then JESUS went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
They were all filled with awe and praised God. "A great prophet has appeared among us," they said. "God has come to help his people." This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country.
See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland…............
Stay blessed in the awesome presence of our LORD JESUS CHRIST for there, there's more than what you can expect!

JESUS CHRIST is speaking to you and your situation. No matter how horrible it may look, HE is saying the same words to you “DON’T CRY”, “for all is not lost and you’re not alone in this”.
He knows the depth of that situation. He too was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
He knows your every thought. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE.
